How long would it take to get from San Francisco to Hollywood?

I’m going on vacation to San Francisco, and we are planning on going to Hollywood. Except we don’t know how long it will take. How long would it take in hours?

About 7 to 8 hours down I-5. BUT !
To really enjoy your vacation, take beautiful Highway 1 down the coast (if the fires have stopped). It takes all day, but it is the most beautiful highway in America and should not be missed. It’s a heck of a lot better looking than Hollywood.

quickest way is 101 it will take about 5-6 hours if you leave early in the morning. and highway 1 is not the most beautiful highway in america. unless u like seeing farmland and the ocean.

Interstate 580 / 5 = Fastest. 5-6 hours from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

Highway 1 = Most scenic. 10-12 hours from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

U.S. Route 101 = A mixture of speed and scenery. 7-8 hours from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

SFO to LAX shuttle flight = Departs once every 30 minutes. Less than one hour from gate-to-gate. Prices are very reasonable on Virgin and Southwest. However, you’ll need to get a rental car once you’re in Los Angeles.
